We undertake construction of high quality flexible pavements, and increasingly rigid pavements in Lae. Key to pavement longevity is the standard of associated drainage eg. line drains, sub surface drains and culverts. We ensure the road is a complete product by arranging line marking, lighting, signage, pedestrian access, landscaping and relocation of existing services. And we'll seal the pavement with bituminous surfacing or asphaltic concrete (see below). We also specialise in general earthmoving, creating hard stands and laydown areas quickly, wherever needed in remote locations.
Together with our specialist partners, we can build large concrete highway bridges, remote steel and concrete bridges, and mult-barrel culverts.
We undertake our own drilling, blasting and crushing in Port Moresby (Ruburogo Quarry), Lae (Old Airport) and Kerema (Epo Quarry). We use modern Powerscreen-brand mobile crushers and screens to produce aggregates for our projects' road base, concreting, bituminous chip seal and asphaltic concrete requirements.
We also operate fixed concrete batch plants in Port Moresby and Lae in support of our concreting requirements. Our concreting team undertakes line drains, culverts, slabs and footings, and minor structural elements, footpaths and driveways
Our sister company, Papuaroads Stabilisers, employs this specialised technique as a cost effective measure to quickly renew existing pavements. Stabilisation can be a valuable measure to keep moisture away from the pavement in areas of low ground and inundation.
Single and double bituminous seal, primer tack coat, and 14mm/19 mm chip seal.
Asphaltic concrete, dense graded 10mm and 14mm (DG10 and DG14) from our AC plants in Port Moresby (ATS) and Lae (Old Airport).
